I've had a lovely weekend, and feel rested and ready for a new busy week.I went to Pedestal on Friday eve and to be frank, it's not a place for me. I'm pleased others enjoy it and it's popular, but the place has the feel and style completely different to me and as such doesn't make me comfy. I'll stick to other places. On Saturday afternoon I had the opportunity for some play with a lovely femsub. Then it was off to see 'The Iron Lady' which I thought was brilliant and well worth seeing, and then a nice supper out. Today I have been Mrs Mop and done the housework, like a good little Mistress! I like to make sure everything is done how I like it, so best to do it myself. A busy week 25/1/12

It's only Wednesday and it feels like Friday. One of those longish weeks which seems to be crawling along.

However, it's been all good and I have fixed myself a little treat in Feb when my overseas friend comes to stay, plus, I bought three fabulous pairs of shoes in the sale on Monday...for half price of course, one of which will get an airing at Pedestal on Friday eve, if I ever make my mind up what I am wearing!

It's stopped raining, cos it absolutely poured yesterday. Instead of taking the dog for a walk it was more a case of mud surfing across the field. He does pull hard and at 35kg is a big dog, so if I throw the ball, hang on to the lead and lean back in my wellies....we're off!
After a couple of goes I saw sense and let him off...cos a face full of mud is not a fun thing! Mud packs may be good for the skin, but not when they are mixed with last years rapeseed stalks and essence of organic matter!

Anyhow, a free day today. Well, as free as a busy mum/Mistress/businesswoman gets and I'm out to lunch with family.

Ess and Emm, Warwickshire

Another quick post today.

I recently did a session at a dungeon in Warwickshire, just off the M40 junction 12 ish and at a fabulous dungeon.
It's big, discreet and had loads of kit plus a wet room.

I'm happy to say I'm now considering doing sessions there as an alternative to Reading OR if you are after a specialist session in W/S or similar.
It also has a Fetters wheel, which can be a huge amount of fun.

The fee's for a session there will be different to my usual fee's and the hire is £60 an hour and my fee for two hours £140, three £200 and four hours £250. (I will only do two hours or above and not for a first session)

So if you fancy something different, a change from the usual or are Brum based and wish to see me, then this place is the answer.

I've just watched Ed Millipede on Andrew Marr's Show this morning and the urge to string the silly bugger up by his ankles and thrash him is pretty strong.
He is a bit like a tiresome, obnoxious 6th former who hasn't developed acne yet...
I do oddly miss old Blair, just cos at least he had some personality.

I spend an enormous amount of time reading. I always have done. Books, daily paper etc etc but the great delight of the internet for me was the ability to be able to read anything, anywhere at the touch of a button.
Educating ourselves, learning and the absorption of knowledge is a really important thing, and the net is the perfect place to do that. So I find it extraordinary that people only use it for Face Berk, Twit-ter, You Boob and other such daft things.
That's not learning that's just dirtying your nose in someone else's business.
I'm all for audience participation stuff such as Live journal etc, but that's sort of constructive...or it used to be.

In the time I've been around around online, since about '98, the net has changed amazingly, mostly for the good, but the mass homogenisation of everything to a certain basic level is not a useful happening.
Dragging everything down to the lowest common denominator makes me want to gnash my teeth in irritation.
I know longer participate in any forums, boards or groups at all. NOT because I think I'm smarter, better, brighter, etc that anyone else, but because every single one I've every come across ends up degenerating into a school yard punch up over issues. The bullies win out, the close and narrow minded reign supreme.

Having run places as well as participated, I've seen both sides of the spectrum. And it's not pretty.
But I still enjoy debates and discussions by email now, much easier.

I'm not quite sure where the point of this post is going except to say I miss things when the net was comparatively young and people were more tolerant. Or so it seemed.

I'm a summer baby.
Come the weekend the clocks go back in October, I develop the urge to find a snow hole and go to sleep for at least 4 months.
Now, anyone who wants to makes comparisons of me to a brown grizzly, may wish to cleanse their brains of that notion...:-P

But seriously I loathe the cold dark winter months. I'm just getting into my day at 3pm when it's getting dark, and dark to me means 'sleeping'. ( A few years ago, dark meant 'clubbing' but I'm a tad old for that now!)

So I am the person celebrating the 22nd Dec, not the 25th, cos then the days are getting loooooongerrrrrrrrrrr again.

But the last few days have been a pleasant exception, as I have a S.A.D light now...and being highly sceptical, I have to say they do actually work.
I have the bulb in my standard lamp, which I sit under for reading and puter work and it gives out a really clear bright white light.
I also make sure I go out to for at least 30 mins daylight EVERY day...regardless of how busy I am. I expect that is making a difference too, but I love my new light!!

Trying to find the time to get out and walk, with doggy normally, is hard at the moment. Work is nuts.
Domming work, puter work, home etc etc...
It's all good, but it's nice to have a few treats to look forward too.
So firstly, we're off to the Festival or Speed at Goodwood in July for the weekend....wheeeeeeee!!! Fast cars, hot men and hopefully sunshine and lazing in front of Goodwood house watching the Hill Climb.
And then it's a week in north Cumbria in August with family in a lovely farmhouse, on a farm.....surprise surprise...and it's a working farm so I hope to have lambs, cooowsssssss and other small fluffy squwaky things to gawp and go 'ahhhhhh' at.
(right before my yob of a dog tries to eat them probably...)
Don't know northern Cumbria at all, having only stayed in the more touristy areas but
Skiddaw is just down the road so a hike up there is on the cards, lots of Roman bits around the area, a nice beach nearby and fingers crossed some sun!!

So that's all nice to look forward too.
But now, back to work this week...

New year's day....

Gosh, I'm tired.

Had a truly memorable evening at Exodus in Brum last night. Amazing venue with 5 dungeons to it's credit plus various assorted bits of amazing kit all around the place.

We played, rested, played some more, had a bottle of champers between us and then chatted and danced and enjoyed ourselves till 2am. Couldn't stay any longer as we had a 90 min drive home, but it was worth it!!!

I recommend any event at Exodus. It's stunningly clean, tidy, organised and the hosts are brilliant.

We will be back as soon as poss.....

Christmas is fast approaching and I'm in the 'Bah Humbug' category of people. Can't wait till it's over usually. This year seem's to have crept up extremely fast though, and thankfully it will be here and gone, hopefully before my dog has destroyed most of my Christmas tree. Next year we're going artificial....or we can just shoot the dog I suppose!!!

We have a ritual in my house before Christmas. I wrap the pressies, stick them under the tree (usually cos I have run out of hiding places in my bedroom) and the sprogs then squeeze, squish, poke and prod till Christmas day.

This year...it's not happening and it's a bit of a revelation. Does it mean they have finally hit teenage hood for proper and don't have the urge to fondle the tidily wrapped parcels? Or simply they reckon I've bought them too many pairs of socks and woolly jumpers and it isn't worth the effort?

Who knows but right now, I have a nice display in my front room, instead of a mangled pile of ripped pressies...apart from the dog of course, trying to eat/shag/eat the choccy baubles/pee on the tree.

Oh well......who wants perfect anyway......

Thank heavens, it's the weekend, however, it will be a busy one as I am doing the catering for a friends party...so no rest of the wicked boom, boom!

Speaking of bad jokes - I do so love a good panto. One of the best parts of Christmas for me. Something about a bloke in a dress and a girl in tight trousers which always brightens my day!

Had a cracker of a week, thank you to everyone I have seen and looking forward to another busy week next week.

Service Top v Dominant 30th Nov 2011

While the rest of the country is on strike today....some of us are going to try to be constructive. (and some of us will never have huge pensions, get sick pay or a whole raft of other work based benefits!!!)

I recently turned down a request for a session, due to the fact the person requesting it was looking for more of a 'service top' than a dominant. After pointing this out, and explaining, as politely as I could, he still flounced off in a huff. Oh well, I thought, never mind. But did wonder if I had not explained myself well enough.

The differences are subtle and are more to do with attitude often more than substance, and perhaps a few instances would help to clarify things.

Service tops in my opinion are generally a Dom/me or a Top who will do exactly as you want, to your level and no more. They have responsibility for the person they are playing with at the time and for after-care after play, but that is it.

They tend not to push the person they play with, provide exactly the level of play they require ie to a certain threshold, number of strokes or number on a dial.

Usually it's an experienced sub/bottom who uses a Service Top as they know the level they require, where as a new sub or bottom tends to rely more on a Dom/me to help them learn.

I have done a few sessions professionally as a Service Top at the beginning of my pro career and at the time did not realise that I was! It's very easy to want to please! I don't find them enjoyable and really dislike begging dictated to as to what to do.

The differences to me are : I may ask you what you like and enjoy, and also what are your hard limits are, but then the choices are mine to make as to what activities we actually do.

Obviously if I choose to do everything the sub hates, you're unlikely to come back to me, so I need to combine a good mixture. BUT the whole point of 'submission' is you let me choose, hope I get it right, and TRUST me that I will do so.

This is where the TPE or Total Power Exchange comes in. Just handing over the fee and giving me a list of your wants is easy and boring.

Handing over the fee and trusting I take you on the sensual ride of you life for a couple of hours is a bit more fun!

You may enjoy wax play, and that's all well and good for a few drops on your nipples or along your cock, but if I have you positioned correctly, you'll get enough to cover your nipples completely, drops along and down the end of your cock and oh, a smattering on that tender little arsehole of yours too. Enough to make you moan, squeal and beg for me to stop!

Or you love bondage and have been tied up many times before, which is dandy. But my idea of bondage is tight, hard, unmovable, perhaps with a hood or a blindfold, and usually means a sub ends up in a position, with enough interesting bits hanging out that are slappable with a crop. Much more fun.....

So it's degrees of play. Of course the sub could ask the Service Top to tie him in a such a way he ends up in the above position, but that was him asking, and not my choice. A big difference. He still holds the balance of power because he has asked, not relinquished control to me and LET me do as I wish.

It is no surprise at all that the vast majority of serious submissive's I see are chaps in high powered jobs, sole decision makers, positions of pressured situation for long periods.

TPE and Domination allows that person for a short period of time, in a safe and carefully controlled environment to hand over control. To give the choice making to another person and to be able to empty their heads of all the stress and chaos they have to control 24/7.

Service Topping is simply requesting play on your own terms.

I haven't posted in a while and to be honest that's cos I haven't had much to post.

I've been trying to get stuck into doing lots of odd jobs round the house, in between the few sessions I have at the moment, before winter arrives.

My lovely slave' M the Builder' has been extremely helpful with painting my front door and other paintwork, fixing a loft ladder and other sundry chores that are a bit out of my league.

It's hard as single lady to keep on top of all the little niggly jobs that need doing, as well as all the regular stuff.

Ho hum....but no moaning here, all the jobs will get done, and having a slave in nothing more than a builders work pouch an collar does tend to make it a lot more entertaining.....

Found an interesting article on the ProfessionalDomination.co.uk board today.

Hurt not harm - about prodommes and male submission.

I have always found the 'your a worm' style of domination very unpleasant and can't for the life of me work out why anyone would enjoy it. I have and have always had the utmost respect for every make sub or slave who comes to see me. I know exactly how much effort it takes to email me for an appointment and then to turn up.

All my subs who I come to know well I regard as friends, some I see personally as well as professionally and I'd happily have more male sub friends to play and socialise with IF I could find some who were not painfully needy and didn't try to top from the bottom all the time, which far too many males subs do.

Many people denigrate male subs who pay for play, but in my experience those who do pay for play are often astute about a Mistress's needs, how submission really works and what being a submissive really needs - having read as much as they can about it all and then stepping into a world where they've parted with hard earned cash.

Some lifestyle subs could do with learning a few lessons from them.

Forced Bi Play - 2nd September 2011

I get a lot of mails about this activity and it seems nothing excites many subs and slaves minds than being made to play sexually with another male sub.

I have held sessions of this kind before and thoroughly enjoy them, especially if it's a first timer and they come with an open mind and an open mouth!

Most guys really enjoy it and I've never had anyone walk out as such. But that's cos I spend and enormous amount of time chatting with the players beforehand.

Exciting as it is, many guys have completely out of the ordinary expectations and ideas. Once those are a little more grounded and usually with the help of a good tame bi sub I know, it all goes swimmingly.

I don't offer such sessions for first timers with me. It's a priviledge to have such a session and takes more organising than usual with a third party, so having had too many first timers chicken out early on, it's for experienced subs only.

But if you fancy a different type of session then give it some thought.

Professionalism - a word often used and often in the wrong context.

I obviously use the internet to run my business. As such, I need forums, boards and places to advertise and 'make my presence known' but I wish to God sometimes I didn't have to.

In the last few months/year or so there has been a huge influx of ladies/girls/tv's offering domination services. I'm very sure some of them are the real thing, but many of them are not.

Some of them ask questions, make comments and generally say things on open websites which make me inwardly wince. Then the next post is about how they can't get any business. No really?!

Regardless of how you see Domination, when you do it for a fee, it's a business and you need to approach it with a degree of sense related to running any business. I have a degree in the Hospitality industry, which of course, involved learning everything from customer skills to double entry bookkeeping via which cleaners to scrub your lobby floor which although not directly to do with spanking bums has been invaluable.

I also come from a self employed family and have run, and been involved with other businesses over the years.

Plus having a business background teaches you other useful things too. Subtlety. Discretion. Patience and a host of other talents.

I should add that when you try to offer help and advice to these new 'dommes' invariably you get a mouthful of abuse.....

Home again...29th August

Back from my weeks break and lovely it was too.

Stayed in Teesdale, a beautiful and very quiet part of the north east of England. Stunning scenery and a great area to walk in.

We had really good weather up until Thursday when it got a tad damp. But we managed and had visited most places we wanted to do by then.

We also went to Raby Castle, High Force and Hardraw waterfalls, The North Yorkshire Moors railway, Tan Hill - the highest pub in the UK, Killhope Lead mine, Barnard Castle and drove extensively all over the area including the A66. I can see why it closes during the winter.....the snow drifts must be incredible!

All in all a lovely break and I'm now back and ready for some bum spanking and discipline...

I'm away again for business in about 3 weeks, so bear that in mind if you're thinking of sessing me anytime soon.

Also I can usually take bookings with only 24 hours notice now, if you can be a bit flexible with venue.

Ahhhh Sunday evening and I feel like I could sleep for a week.

It's been a brilliant weekend topped of by an evening of great play at Exodusuk.com in Brum.

Superb venue, lovely people and I'm investigating the possibilities of holiday session there. It has 9 different rooms, ranging from a horrid, dank, scary cellar, through to a stunning medical room, and dungeon equipment which is beautifully hand made and incredible to be strapped on.

The new dungeon I am using in Wycombe has a cupboard/corner to lock a slave into, which has a huge heavy metal garden gate you can lock.

Now firstly it's just dandy to be able to lock a sub up and then listen to them try and persuade you that letting them out is a good thing, but secondly, even better to tie a rope around their middle, before you lock them in, then tie them to the gate.

This year is whipping past, if you'll pardon the pun.

I'm ridiculously pleased that Jenson Button won the GP yesterday. Goodness, we're back to the top of the week again.

This year has just flown by for me and I have so many new things going on, and lifestyle changes it's almost mind boggling....but all very welcome and enjoyable.

How did you get started and where does your name come from?

I have always been sexually kinky and after venturing into the BDSM scene in a personal capacity on the masochism side in 2007, I ended up topping a fella in a club one evening and my partner pointed out not only had I thoroughly enjoyed it, but in his opinion ( having been on the scene for 15 years) said he thought I was pretty good at what he'd just witnessed. So why not give it a go professionally, he suggested.

But its a huge step from one play session to pro, but after several months of personal practice play on willing male subs, finding a venue and kit and building my website,( plus I have a self employed business background)I got started in December 2007. My best female online friend who I do my web design etc with, used to use Mephisto as her online name, but had changed it that year, so I asked if I could use it and she agreed and thought it highly amusing for me to do so!

So you played a bit then thought you'd make some money?

Umm...no. A lot more complicated that that. Yes, being my own boss appeals to me, and I already am in one profession, but I have always enjoyed being the boss in relationships and in fact ones where I have not been in hindsight have not succeded. It's my neck on the line if something goes wrong and I have learned in 20 years in business, to go with my instincts. I should also hasten to add I will not engage in a session with anyone if they turn up drunk, under the influence of drugs or are dirty/have poor hygiene. If you smell, you're out.

Do you really like the people you session with?

Yes, is the easy answer, but there are degrees as with any human interaction.

I had one a few days ago which made me stop and think.

I won't be enjoying next weekends Royal festivities much sadly as I'm off to spend the weekend painting and decorating for a recently bereaved family member, but this weekend has been relaxing enough.

These odd bank holiday weekends almost on top of each other have played havoc with free workdays and bookings, and caused me to have a bit of a rethink and I'm pleased to announce that as from next week, I will be available from 10am to 9pm Monday to Thursday and slightly shorter hours on Fridays.

I know how frustrated many of you have been trying to get to see me with such sparse days and odd hours. So that's changing as of now.

I spend a great deal of time reading in Informed consent as it gives a real cross section of people into bdsm and alternative lifestyles.

I do use the word scene or community because I don't believe in such a thing.

I find it very informative and love to see how certain people arrive and develop and find their own place. Most do, most learn, mature and become much happier people as a result. I would include myself in that category, and probably my lovely male partner too.

However, now and again you come across someone on there who seems absolutely hell bent on screwing up their life, anyone else they come across life and generally being the biggest fuck wit possible. Now you come across these types of people on every internet forum out there, from fan clubs for rock groups ( which I know a bit about) to knitting forums, 'mumsnet' (more like 'Psycho bitches from hell') and vintage car trading places.

But the difference on IC is that because it is about alternative sexually practices (in the main) it seems to bring out a vast amount of self examination and flagellation! Then once they have delved into their psychoses and not been able to find the perfect sub/dom/me/lover/nutjob to complete their life they then choose to shoot down everyone else.

They seem not to realise that it's their unpleasant nature, not their unpleasant sexual practices that stop them from finding the love of their life, even when this is pointed out to them.

These are people who no matter what they are 'into' never get it, and just so need to chill and relax and enjoy life a little more.

BDSM and anything associated with it is NOT going to make you a different person. IT may allow you to explore aspects of yourself you need to explore but you will still be YOU. Even if you are a prick.....

In both cases better seems to be the size of their advertising budget! I suppose I should not be surprised, but I feel this is really unfair on new subs looking to find a decent Mistress for a first time experience.

A quick catch up.

Had an exceptionally busy start to the year, which is excellent, but means the odd few days with no sessions and a chance to catch up is necessary.

I have a new computer. Yes, Mistress is a nerd, apologies.

Kevin Webster, who downloaded erotic fantasy images with violent themes from the internet, (1) was found not guilty of possession of 'extreme pornography' (2) at Stafford Crown Court today. The jury were asked to decide whether obviously faked death images were in fact 'realistic' depictions of sexual violence; despite the prosecution having to accept, before the trial even began, that the images were clearly “staged”. In a victory for common sense and free speech the jury unanimously acquitted Mr Webster of all charges.

Mr Webster's solicitor Myles Jackman of Audu and Co, who has now successfully defended a number of extreme pornography prosecutions (3), said: “The jury's clear and unequivocal message is a damning blow to the credibility of the ill-conceived and prurient extreme pornography legislation. It has previously led to the state prosecuting the possession of dirty-jokes; and in Mr Webster's case what were clearly unrealistic high-camp horror fantasy images”.

Expert witness Prof Feona Attwood of Sheffield Hallam University described the images in question as “less realistic than a British soap opera.”

According to Alexandra Dymock of Backlash, (4) the sexual civil liberties organisation who put Mr Webster in contact with his specialist legal team, said: “This ill-conceived, insufficiently researched and poorly written law has now been shown to be not only a waste of valuable legal aid and police resources, but that it is also out of step with the attitudes of ordinary members of the British public in the face of reasonable argument, even if they find the material itself distasteful.”

Backlash have petitioned the Coalition to include the extreme porn act in the forthcoming repeal bill and hope Mr Webster's case illustrates the need for this repressive and intrusive legislation to be removed from the statute books.

First post of the New Year and a warm Happy New Year to all my regulars and friends.

I am often mailed, quite inappropriately, from submissive's and potential players who are quite obviously complete novices and let their fantasies/over excitement get in the way of what is in reality a business transaction.

Now, that is not to say that fantasy and excitement have no place in a BDSM session, they most certainly do and in fact without them the session would be pointless, but it is wise to focus on the cold hard reality of time, place, cost, details BEFORE letting the brain turn to jelly with the infinite possibilities of what I may or may not do.

Approach a mail to a Mistress like you would a job interview. Carefully, respectfully, with all the details you need but with a sense of excitement knowing you could be on the threshold of of starting something wonderfully new.

Stupid mails, get no replies...quite simple.

It is no accident I only accept applications for sessions by email. A written request to see me tells mean enormous amount about you.

Educational standard, confidence, self esteem, manners and overall attitude towards play and Mistress's.

If you don't rise to the challenge and hit my mark in a mail, then you won't be having a session with me.

Simples...

Well the holidays are over and it's back to some serious work.

I've just updated the website with some new pics of myself, and rather nice they are too!

I should have some new pics of subs to go up in the next few weeks from my sessions over August/September.

The summer is nearly over, sadly and the evenings drawing in.

So I will be back to my regularly scheduled hours next week after the bank holiday and ready to see those of you who have waited all August. How very patient you are!

I've been getting a bit of contact for 24/48 notice sessions and sadly I can rarely do these. Not because I don't want to but because the dungeons I use are good and popular and are often booked a week in advance. I am hoping in the next few months to look at other premises to hold session in Surrey, Brum and Bristol.

However, if I an travelling long distances then fees may have to be higher. We will see.

I'll let you know how these plans go.

Otherwise plan in advance and give yourself the time to enjoy the whole experience from the initial email, confirmation text through to the kiss goodbye at the end of the session.

Something's in life should not be done in a rush....
